With nearly two decades of experience in the Colorado Springs area, Anderson & Carnahan Attorneys at Law has built a reputation as one of Colorado’s hardest-working, most dependable criminal defense law firms. From DUI cases to UCMJ violations, and felonies to misdemeanors, our experienced criminal defense lawyers bring a wealth of experience, knowledge, and determination to each and every new case. We are particularly proud of the qualified legal representation services we provide to the brave members of our military and are proud sponsors of the wounded warrior project.
The United States military is governed by the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), and being convicted of one of its most serious charges—Articles 77 through 134—can result in court-martial. If you have been charged with a UCMJ violation, you should be aware that you can retain a military attorney. An attorney who has in-depth knowledge of the military code and experience working in the military justice system is essential to protecting your legal rights and providing you with outstanding representation.
As a former Air Force JAG Officer with extensive legal and military experience, Stephen Anderson is fully qualified to represent members of the U.S. military. With four years as an infantry sergeant at Fort Carson behind him, Stephen attended Southwestern Law School and graduated in 1984 with a J.D. in law.
He practiced law in California for four years, where he gained valuable experience working in cases involving police litigation and DUI cases. He came back to Colorado Springs in 1988 to work as a District Attorney, but was then recruited by the Air Force. He served as Chief Trial Counsel at Peterson Air Force Base from 1990 to 1992, and worked as a Deputy District Attorney through 1994, representing clients in more than 100 trials. In October 1994, he founded Anderson Associates Attorneys At Law.
